Economic Tools for Feasibility Evaluation and Sustainable Business Design

Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF), in coordination with the Forestry and Land Social Monitoring and Control Authority (ABT) and the Amazonian University of Pando (UAP), announce the development of the Course: Economic Tools for the Feasibility Evaluation and Design of Sustainable Business, which will take place from November 7 to 11, 2016, in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.
The course aims to generate skills related to the design, implementation and evaluation of sustainable businesses, and considers the following topics: i) components of a business plan, ii) value proposal and product identification, iii) market studies, iv ) financial and probabilistic risk analysis, v) business entrepreneurship and strengthening of sustainable businesses, among others.
The course will be aimed at professionals of the public and private sector, who are working on issues of conservation of Mother Earth and sustainable development. Priority will be given to participants who are linked to the design, implementation and evaluation of sustainable businesses. Particularly, professionals who are in a position to contribute to promote the use of non-timber products that have high commercial potential, among these, wild Amazonian products.
Those interested can access more information through the Call Document. Applications will be formalized through the completion of the Application Form until October 9, 2016. Those applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
The costs of tuition, materials, food and lodging will be covered by the organizers, leaving the travel insurance and transport costs to the place of the course as the participants’ responsibility.
